Some Bro Got Snapped Humping Wall Street’s IWD “Fearless Girl” Statue

You might have seen the statue that popped up on Wall Street last Wednesday: a little girl, hands on hips, staring down the district’s iconic “Charging Bull” statue. Titled “The Fearless Girl“, the statue was commissioned by New York ad agency McCann and its client State Street Global Advisors for International Women’s Day. It’s a powerful image of female bravery in the face of a male-dominated industry.
So obviously, some bro had to come along and ruin it.

Yeah, that’s a Wall Street bro humping a statue of a little girl. Coooooooooool.
In the accompanying Facebook post, Kaloyanides succinctly sums up the rampant grossness of the bro-on-bronze grinding:
“Almost as if out of central casting, some Wall Street finance broseph appeared and started humping the statue while his gross date rape-y friends laughed and cheered him on. He pretended to have sex with the image of a little girl. Douchebags like this are why we need feminism.”
She also spoke to Inside Edition about the incident, telling them:

“He was gone within 20 seconds, but it just ruined the mood of the scene. There were people there talking about empowering children and women and for them to have this 20-something showing his entitlement, defiling the statue… it was utterly revolting.”
Revolting, yes, but I mean, it’s not like anyone’s surprised. Some bloke with an overdeveloped and under-earned sense of self-confidence shows up without an invite in order to swing his dick around and ruin the vibe for everyone? Sounds like your average Thursday night to me.
