Fitness enthusiasts, street-style connoisseurs and anyone with a Bondi postcode, rejoice: a brand-spanking new activewear label is headed your way.
After cutting her teeth working in PR for some of the biggest names in the biz, incl. sass & bide, General Pants Co. and Ksubi, Sydney fashion veteran Pip Edwards has joined sartorial forces with designer Claire Tregoning (also previously of s&b) to spawn P.E Nation.
From raw cut tees and slick tights to bomber jackets and bike shorts, the label’s MO is urban eclectic with a retro twist (and a teensy hint of Pip’s trademark tomboy style thrown in for good measure).
Check out some killer pics from the debut collection IN TRAINING, which hits stores March 7:
‘Cos she knows a thing or 50 about looking straight-up fire while working out, PEDESTRIAN.TV asked Pip how much the aesthetic of your workout clothes can affect your motivation (hint: fkn heaps):
“I definitely think when you look good, you feel good and you feel more motivated to work out,” she says. “With P.E, we deliberately created sexy, sporty silhouettes that you want to wear… I think deep down everyone also wants a slight fashion edge and to be on trend wherever they are, and with P.E you’re ticking all boxes.”
What’ll she be sweatin’ in from the first collection?
“Super tight tights on the legs and anything super oversized on top.”
We’ll take two of everything t/y: one for the gym, the other for… anything else.
Pick up P.E Nation on its website HERE, over at Stylerunner or at General Pants from March 7. Follow P.E Nation on Instagram now.
