As a fashion writer who writes about brand-spankin’ new trends all the damn time, there are fewer things that bring me more joy than when celebrities proudly outfit repeat.
Aside from making the whole thing feel a LOT more socially acceptable – which, I’m very in favour of – they somehow manage to make the second version of the outfit look even better than the first.
Now Sienna Miller, the 2000s boho kween, just did exactly that with one of her most iconic looks: her 2006 Met Gala dress.
To refresh your memory, while you were busy getting your hair furnished with those ghastly tiger streaks, Sienna arrived on the steps of New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art wearing THIS:
The micro gold mini dress, designed in the Christopher Bailey Burberry era, has not aged a single day, much like Sienna.
The number, complete with a black velvet bow belt, was teamed with black tights, matching Mary Janes (how about that throwback?) and a quilted purse.
Just now, the actress stepped out in London with Noel Gallagher wearing the exact same dress – shrugging a loose duster coat over the top and accessorising with a shiny olive purse:
Ugh I love this look so much. Long live Sienna Miller, and this incredibly sparkly Burberry dress. Enough said.
