Shoutout To The VIC Cabbie Who Told News His Name Was ‘Blowjob’ In Greek

In Melbourne in Monday, taxi drivers protested to show their unhappiness with the Victorian government’s proposed shake up of the taxi industry. They completely stopped on Bolte Bridge, disrupting peak hour traffic.
The cabbies ain’t happy about the government’s proposal to buy back taxi licenses which could potentially leave families thousands of dollars in debt. A bunch of drivers claim they purchased a taxi license in order to retire comfortably, but if it’s taken from them, they will no longer be able to pay off their debts and home loans.
This might sound extremely serious to you, no? Well, yeah – it is. But hey, apparently not to one of the drivers who was actually there and protesting!
He thought it was a perfect time to prank the news stations that were covering the event – by giving them a fake name during an interview, and telling them his name was ‘Tsim Booky’

Don’t get it? Well, ‘tsimbouki ‘or ‘tsimpouki’ actually means blowjob in Greek. He literally told news stations that his name was ‘Blow Job’
Some people reckon that this was pretty shitpoor timing, and an inappropriate time to pull such a prank. One post on social media said,
“It would be funny under different, more relaxed circumstances but we are talking about the financial future of many Victoria families.

Does he not care that he disrespects the same government he demands better compensation? Does he not respect his own self esteem or his brother cabbies who are bleeding? Does he not care that he embarrasses his own Greek community? Should we the consumer not take them seriously either?

How can (cabbies) get support when you have clowns representing them on public television. Either take yourselves seriously cabbies or you will disappear by progress and technology.”
While others reckon old mate BJ was sending a not-so-subtle message that the Victorian government could suck his dick, which is actually so fucking funny to us. So fucking funny.
Others on social media reckon Gobbie is a total hero:

No matter how you felt about the protest itself, or the modern Aussie taxi industry, you have to admit The Very Good And True Story Of Tsim Booky is a thing of beauty. Honestly, in our professional opinion, it was a work of art.
The taxi drivers involved reckon they’ll continue to fight after Monday’s protest, so let’s hope we see our friend The Dicksuck Man on television again.
