The playful tease continues courtesy of polarising director Lars Von Trier and his endless stream of charged, erotic morsels ahead of the December release of the highly anticipated psycho-sexual thriller, Nymphomaniac.
While the teaser released today certainly tells us precious little like the film’s other teasers; the fifth chapter in the ongoing series shows LaBeouf Bourguignon La Getting-it-on in the un-simulated on-screen sex scenes that pricked intrigued ears about the film in the first place, back in August.
With a forlorn musical accompaniment that suggests nightmares and/or murder, the misery in the following teaser is punctuated by a split screen triptych; though if you’re honest/human all you’ll be scrutinising is Shia LaBeouf and idly reminiscing of his days in the first Transformers when he was just a dumb dork, while now he has traversed Hollywood and is the subject of Lars Von Trier’s aesthetically pleasing madness, bless. Naturally, the clip was taken down from Youtube as soon as it was released because sex, thankfully it has been reinstated because not porn.
The teaser is prefaced with this spittle of wank that Lars Von Trier clearly wrote, that will tell you absolutely zero things about the film, Shia LaBeouf or the word ‘Polyphony’ “Chapter 5: The Little Organ School. A chorale prelude by Bach: Three voices each with its own character, but in complete harmony. In other words: POLYPHONY. The nymphomaniac is easily inspired, and acts it out.”
