For a moment, try to imagine being Selena Gomez, a woman who probably doesn’t have a moment to spare of her own. Inbetween being a massive pop juggernaut, one of the Instagram’s heaviest hitters, and executive producing a little show called 13 Reasons Why, she’s also managed to produce one of the Met Gala’s bloody cutest moments.
Gomez made her red carpet debut with partner Abel Tesfaye – who also sings every now and again as The Weeknd – and by god, if you can think of a more wholesome coupling on display, we don’t really want to hear about it. We mean, cast your eyes on this beaut moment. That finger point. He knows what’s up.

Speaking to Vogue before taking to the event, Gomez said her laced Coach number was a significant departure from her previous get-ups. In comparison to last year’s tough Nicholas Ghesquière-designed Louis Vuitton ensemble, including heavy boots and a leather vest, this gown seems uber-airy by comparison.

Tesfaye opted for the classic tux, and to be quite honest, we’re not entirely sure we’re prepared to see the guy wear anything that isn’t mostly black. We’d get spun out at this point, so props to you for leaving the spotlight on Gomez, mate.
