Romance Was Born Boots Ready For Your Thighs

Romance Was Born’s SS2010/11 collection Renaissance Dinosaur was met with interesting reviews at Australian Fashion Week, with many critics commenting on the spectacular theatrics of the show emphasising the “performance” and showmanship, and seemingly shied away from discussing the clothes themselves. Georgie McCourt of Harper’s BAZAAR put it quite nicely: While there were a lot of show pieces which are unlikely to go into production and we can’t help but think these guys would make a smashing out of costume design, last night this duo did what they do best – transported us to their magical fashion wonderland and left us utterly inspired.”

Sure enough, since the show we haven’t chanced upon any pieces from the collection at any of RWB stockists, however the thigh-high boots that the models sported on the runway are now available – in limited numbers – from Mycatwalk.com. Australian shoe maven Terry Biviano designed the footwear in collaboration with Anna Plunkett and Luke Sales especially for the collection. They come in four different colours: lilac or gold leather ($699) and neo-preen stretch boots in two prints ($899). They could be the perfect accessory for Winter loving, after all: nothing says “come hither” like a good old fashioned fuck-me boot.
