When it comes to fashion Rihanna evidently has a reserved cachet of fucks to give because the Barbados-born doobie aficionado will showcase her design debut at London Fashion Week on February 16.
Rihanna’s maiden foray into the murky waters of runway fashion has been produced in collaboration with British high street label River Island, and despite having no background in womenswear design whatsoever Rihanna certainly looks good in clothes (and out of them) so that has to stand for something, right? Plus, lack of tertiary experience didn’t stop her collaborator-in-song Kanye West from dipping his toe in the international Fashion Week arena.
Of the pending collab Rihanna says, “Launching at London Fashion Week is a dream come true for me. I have wanted to design my own collection for a long time and to present my collection for River Island alongside all of the other great design talent at LFW is a real privilege. I can’t wait to see the reaction from my fans and the fashion press!”
