The boyfriend of a British reality TV star is wanted by police over the nightclub acid attack which injured twenty people, including two Australian models.
Arthur Collins, 25, from Hertfordshire, is considered a suspect in the attack on the London nightclub, and police raided his home on Monday night. His girlfriend is Ferne McCann, who came to fame on the show The Only Way is Essex – popularly known as Towie.
McCann has urged Collins to turn himself in at a police station through a spokesperson. “Obviously these are highly shocking and Ferne has co-operated with the police in their inquiries,” the spokesperson said.
She was not with Arthur on Sunday night, was not at Mangle, and has no direct knowledge of the events that unfolded. As much as anybody she wants to know the truth and urges Arthur to co-operate fully with the police and attend a police station immediately.
Police believe a dispute between two groups resulted in the noxious, acidic substance being thrown at two people, which ended in injuries to many others.
Three other stars of The Only Way Is Essex – Jamie Reed, Jade Lewis and Chloe Meadows – were also reported to be among the hundreds evacuated from the nightclub.
Just days before the police appeal, McCann told OK! that she was in love with Collins and that she believed he was ‘The One’. “I do tend to throw the L word out. I love everyone. I’m a very happy, positive person. I’m full of love. When you know, you know. You don’t have to wait around.”
