Please Cancel Your Picnics, NSW, ‘Cos This Weekend’s Weather Is Wild

When summer dies, it dies HARD.

New South Welshmen, If you were planning an idyllic weekend of fun and frolic in the mild glare of the autumn sun, please ditch those plans in lieu of a weekend sprawled on the couch playing video games with a 2L bottle of Mountain Dew perpetually within reach.
Several homes in Sydney‘s west flooded last night as the state preps for a weekend of torrential rain and likely flash flooding, with the Bureau of Meteorology issuing severe weather warnings for the Illawarra, South Coast and parts of the Southern Tablelands and Snowy Mountains.

Sydney will not escape the deluge – it’s gonna rain all weekend, with sustained southerly winds expected on Saturday. Whisper sweet goodbyes to that umbrella you bought at the servo for two bucks. It’s already dead.
This might be a concern for those attending Mardi Gras on Saturday night in the city, though its likely the majority of the rain will fall during the day. So your pink angel wings are probably safe.
Have a sick one, team.
