One Nation Candidate Humiliates Herself In Gaffe Filled TV Interview

Look, I’m not going to waste words here. The contents of the following interview – an epic exclusive by Channel Seven – speaks for itself. Bask in the awfulness of the factual wasteland that is 27-year-old One Nation candidate for Queensland electorate Rankin, Stephanie Banister.

During her intriguing explanation of why Halal food should be banned, she refers to “Islam” – the religion of Muslims – as a place (“I don’t oppose Islam as a country but I do feel that their laws should not be welcome here in Australia”), just one of several poorly informed gaffes noted by reporter Erin Edwards in the hilariously condescending voiceover parts that punctuate the interview. Good grief, Australian politics.

Stop the boat, I want to get off.
