Neighbour To Melbourne’s ‘Pablo’ Pop-Up Asks Kanye For $6K In Lost Sales

Very few people can call Kanye West their neighbour, but Charlotte Knightley kinda can.

While the rest of the nation gave itself permission to freak out over the surprise announcement of The Life Of Pablo pop-up stores in Australia this weekend, Melbourne-based Knightley was probs wondering what the inevitable chaos would mean for her store next door.

According to a post stuck on a generic Kanye FB page yesterday, the ensuing crowds were actually bloody fantastic – for Yeezy.

Knightley claims the legions of thirsty hypebeasts stationed on Fitzroy’s Brunswick Street did a pretty good job of borking sales at her stationery boutique Zetta Florence:
“From one retailer to another our customer bases are quite different so when your customer swear at my little old lady customers who are just trying to come in to buy an album to protect their war time treasures, it’s a bit of a problem.”

The now-viral post also claims the seven-hundred strong line for the pop-up deterred enough customers to carve a $6K hole into Zetta Florence’s expected weekend takings.

In response, Knightley makes a pretty cheeky entreaty for the man himself (or Kim, either or) to burl a cheque her way.

Audacious, sure, but also the kind of ballsy move that could conceivably capture the man’s attention. Check out the full post below:

For the record, PEDESTRIAN.TV caught up with the print-screen aficionados flocking around Bondi’s pop-up.
If you’re keen to judge the kinda crowd numbers Knightley may have been dealing with, or if you just want some hot vox pops from the most stoked fans in Australia, have a gander:
