Zippora Seven plays the perfect boheme in myPetsQuare’s SS11/12 lookbook, ‘Feast Of The Hunter’s Moon’. There’s a fine line between pulling off that effortless Almost Famous vintage-inspired style of dressing and looking like you’re going to a 1970’s themed party. This collection manages to fall into the former category, emanating a folk feel without the kitsch costumery.
Bell sleeves, kimono jackets, tassels and a healthy amount of leather pay homage to decade’s past, acting like inspired replications of your dream secondhand finds only this time they don’t smell like moth balls and actually fit you. We see more volume this season than last, with bursts of burnt orange and teal brightening up an otherwise neutral palette. Tamila Purvis, former RUSSH fashion director and one half of MANIAMANIA, brings her styling flair to the the lookbook and makes us want to own one of everything. Bring on a summer of love.
