Wrangler are launching the first ever line of moisturising jeans. Yes, this means jeans infused with ‘high-performance skin care ingredients’ to nullify the natural ‘dehydrating effects’ of denim. The Denim Spa range will come in three finishes – Aloe Vera, Olive Extract and Smooth Legs – which aim to prevent cellulite with a number of exotic natural oils and butters, including monoi de Tahiti – a Polynesian ingredient made using Tiare flower buds soaked in refined coconut oils, whatever that mumbo jumbo means.
These jeans seems to be crying out for an ad by infomercial king Vince Offer (think ShamWow!/Slap Chop/Schticky ambassador) who should definitely tailor them to sunburn victims or time poor multi-taskers.
Wrangler has however called on model Lizzie Jagger to pioneer the range, who affirms that ‘they definitely feel cooler than regular jeans’. Denim Spa Jeans will be available for purchase via asos.com from the 28th of January.
