Mjolk – Spring/Summer 2011

Lars Stoten, director and head designer of menswear label Mjolk, presents his spring/summer 2011 lookbook this week, drawing inspiration from the label’s new surrounds in Manhattan’s bustling Chinatown district. Like Mjolk’s previous collections, this range boasts tonnes of personality and a willingness to push men’s fashion beyond the tee shirt and short combo that is the Australian male uniform. This manifests in thoughtful details, daring cuts, quirky prints and a admirable resolve to be different to everyone else. According to our friends at For Tomorrow the collection takes inspiration from “the history of industrial New York and Coney Island, Depression-era photography, aerial views of farmland, stained glass windows, and contemporary art.“. If you’re an adult male with a modicum of taste you’ll find something to covet in this brilliant collection.
