It’s not often that words like ‘Australian exclusive debut‘ and ‘Miu Miu‘ and ‘international fashion first‘ appear together in the same sentence. Luckily for you, there’s a first time for everything. Miu Miu will make an international fashion first with the Australian exclusive debut of their ‘Noir‘ eyewear collection at the Sunglasses Hut Floating Store from November 17th. What a sentence.
The specs, which will appear in the pop-up store before hitting the flagship store in February 2012, are a continuation of Miu Miu’s Fall 2011 Ready-to-Wear offering, itself a study in the elegant nostalgia of the 1940s combined with the label’s to-be-expected dose of whimsy and contemporaneity. New riffs on familiar silhouettes have been rendered in classic black and tortoiseshell, or in a slightly more provocative cocoa glitter matte, clay or ruby. Already a hit with ladies familiar with the forties – here’s looking at you, Madge, for your costuming prowess and not your indeterminate age – the shades will be available from the transparent Floating Store at three different locations on Sydney Harbour from November 18th to 20th.
