Missing Girls Discovered After A Decade Of Imprisonment

In what looks to be another incomprehensibly horrific case of abduction and long-term imprisonment, three women have been discovered by police in a house in Cleveland, Ohio, several years after having vanished without a trace. The women – Amanda Berry, who had been missing since April 2003, Gina DeJesus who vanished in April 2004 and Michele Knight who disappeared in 2002 – were found in a property a few miles from where they disappeared. The women were discovered with a six-year-old girl whom Ms Berry has confirmed she gave birth to while imprisoned.

The owner of the residence and former school bus driver, Ariel Castro, has been arrested and stands accused of kidnapping. Cleveland Police have also confirmed Castro’s two brothers are being held in connection with the kidnapping.

The house:

The girls were freed just before 6pm on Monday after a neighbor Charles Ramsey heard screams coming from the house after Ms Berry reportedly kicked out the bottom portion of a locked screen door and used Mr Ramsey’s telephone to call 911. and kicked through a door to let out Amanda Berry and her daughter. In a recorded phone conversation with police Berry said, “I’m Amanda Berry. I’ve been on the news for the last 10 years. And I’m here. I’m free now.”

This is an interview with Charles Ramsey, the man who assisted Ms Berry, and yes there is an autotune version available.
