Miranda Kerr Lends Legs To David Jones Runway Show

Miranda Kerr is the personification of SEO so her presence at the David Jones Autumn/Winter 2012 launch definitely injected the event with an extra dash of star power. The show made front page news giving the department store a much needed marketing boost. And you have to hand it to Miranda, she looked pretty damn fine opening the show in a strong Josh Goot tuxedo. This masculine-chic aesthetic reappeared several times throughout the show: Lisa Ho, Romance Was Born, Dion Lee and Bassike all showcased their interpretations of the suit. The other obvious trends on the runway were ladylike cuts and fabrication (lace, collars, blouses, silk) and bold colourful prints.

But let’s face it, we’ve seen a lot of these clothes before so rambling on about them is boring. Here’s a small selection of runway looks worn by some of our favourite local models including Tiah Eckhardt, Lauren Brown, Alexandra Agoston, Australia’s Next Top Model winner Montana Cox and Miranda.
