Mia Wasikowska Makes Vanity Fair’s Young Hollywood Issue

Elfin Australian actress Mia Wasikowska has landed on the cover of Vanity Fair‘s esteemed ‘Young Hollywood’ issue for a second time (she also appeared on the 2010 cover). Mario Testino shot the cover for the magazine’s annual edition which focuses on the latest crop of starlets and ‘it’ boys to have made their mark on the silver screen over the last 12 months.

Wasikowska is joined on the cover by an all-female lineup including (from left to right below): Rooney Mara, Mia Wasikowska, Jennifer Lawrence, Jessica Chastain, Elizabeth Olsen, Adepero Oduye, Shailene Woodley, Paula Patton, Felicity Jones, Lily Collins, and Brit Marling. Kudos to Vanity Fair who have done well in selecting this group of actresses – all of whom have earned their stripes as exciting talents to watch out for in 2012; but somehow the magazine managed to take a group of gorgeous young women and, through dreadful styling, have made them look very underwhelming.

Isn’t a top photographer, a full hair and make up team, designer gowns and the magic of airbrushing supposed to improve appearances? Look at these photos and tell me you agree.
