French media are reporting that Aussie actress Melissa George has been taken to a hospital after calling the police and alleging that her long-term partner Jean-David Blanc assaulted her.
George currently lives in France with Blanc and their two sons, Raphaël and Solal.
She was admitted to Cochin Hospital in Paris with facial injuries and dizziness at around 3am on Wednesday morning.
Reports from French news site M6Info read,
“According to statements by the actress … she was assaulted by her companion, also father of their two children.The police were called last night to intervene in the centre of Paris. In shock, Melissa George, had a swelling of the face and complained of pain, nausea and dizziness.”
Purepeople has also reported the actress stated to police that she had been “physically abused” by Blanc.
There are no current reports of Blanc being arrested or charged.
