Meet Your New Miss Universe and Eventual Dame Of The Order Of Australia, Probably

Despite the splendour of her answer to the question ‘What message would you give to the terrorists?’, Miss USA and 80 other indistinguishable basics from as many countries have been bested by Miss Colombia, Paulina Vega, who has today secured the title that is rightfully hers: [Donald Trump’s] Miss Universe.

So it begins – a year of interminable cheer. After her reign comes to an end, Vega plans to burn her sash and return to Colombia with breakneck speed to her business administration studies, the homework for which she falls behind on with each passing day.
Earlier this week, Vega described the role of the eventual winner thusly [in order of priorities from most important to least]:
“It will be a dream come true to represent the woman of today. A woman that not only cares about being beautiful and being glamorous, but also cares about being a professional, intelligent, hard-working person.”
Glam!!!! Nia Sanchez, the 24-year-old Miss USA from Las Vegas, Nevada, came second; her textbook pageant answer to the above mentioned question reading like something straight out of a Miss Congeniality outtake.

The second runner-up was Miss Ukraine, Diana HarkushaMiss Australia, Tegan Martin, made it to the top ten, which frankly just doesn’t cut it at this level anymore, ladies.
At this rate, Miss Vega can expect to be made a Dame Of The Order Of Australia in exactly a year’s time.
Welcome to the universe – welcome to Australia – Miss Vega.
