Sales are great. They’re the best! But my absolute faaaavourite kind of sale is a beauty sale.
See, beauty products don’t discriminate. You won’t hit the web and find that skirt you always wanted is now only available in size XS, you know? Not to mention beauty products aren’t (usually) fads – that moisturiser is gonna do something good for your skin, for several months.
MECCA rarely have sales, but when they do they’re fire. Probably because they literally don’t stock one shitty thing. They’re having a strong sale RN, so I’ve rounded up a few things you should buy.
URBAN DECAY NAKED HIGHLIGHTING FLUID, $46 DOWN TO $23
Okay, this guy has low ratings but I reckon it’s BC people aren’t using it the way it should be used. I love using highlighting fluids as a primer, or mixed with my foundation, to boost the dewy feel of my base. Champagne tints work best for this, and given this baby is 50% off I reckon it’s worth a c/card swipe.
IN YOUR DREAMS SUNKISSED GLOW FINE GLITTER MIST, $13 DOWN TO $6.50
I haven’t tried this but I’m extremely intrigued. It’s got great reviews, and apparently gives you that festival-level glittery skin but in a “just back from Mallorca” way. For $6.50, I’ll give it a whirl.
MECCA MAX HOLOGRAPHIC BEAUTY BAG, $25 DOWN TO $12
How old is your makeup bag, eh? Mine is ancient and covered in unidentifiable beige powder. I’ve actually got a variant of this bag and the holographic vibes are SO FUN. Plus it’s bloody 12 bucks!
MECCA COSMETICA PERFECTING AND BUFFING BRUSH, $35 DOWN TO $17
If you’re an eyeshadow or concealer rookie, this is what you need. The fluffy end makes blurring out concealer the easiest job ever, or if you’re more of an eyeshadow person, use it to buff the edges so the finish is seamless.
UD X KRISTEN LEANNE VICE LIPSTICK IN BUN BUN, $30 DOWN TO $15
This is the perfect 90’s brown-nude, IMO – and the Urban Decay VICE lipstick formula is all time.
MECCA COSMETICA ENHANCE TOP COAT, $22 DOWN TO $11
My best beauty hack of all time is using a gel-like top coat over polish – trust me when I say you’ll get like a full week of chip free wear (longer on toes, in my experience).
TOO FACED BOUDOIR EYES EYESHADOW COLLECTION, $52 DOWN TO $26
Too Faced’s eyeshadow kits are ALL TIME (what’s up, Chocolate Bar and Sweet Peach) plus these shades are so neutral-yet-sexy! It’s not available online but it is in selected stores, so go hunt for it. TBH I’m jealous, I want one.
