Master Your Inner Mod With An Update On Classic Sixties Styling

Produced in association with Ben Sherman.

There’s a timelessness to the neat, understated Mod movement that emerged from London in the Sixties; so much so that it seems to have earned a rank as least cringe-inducing period for fashion and the one most often imitated (particularly by the likes of trend-adverse ‘it’ girls like Alexa Chung and Daisy Lowe or skinny British rock stars like Alex Turner). Not surprisingly, the staples of the look – sharp tailoring, the Carnaby-style fit, Peterpan collars, pea coats, wool capes, shift minis and leather brogues – have been de rigueur on a loop ever since.

Ben Sherman taps directly into the look for Fall 2014 and the campaign in which pouty English models Millie Rose Loggie and Jed Texas cruise nonchalantly around Notting Hill and London Bridge. The brand’s throwback to its Sixties roots have never wavered, but there’s something to be said for consistency – especially when it looks this good.

The collection is now available in stores, including the Sydney Arcade flagship store where Open Studio presented by Ben Sherman is now in session. Head into the store between now and February 21 (this Friday) to watch Art vs Science crafting a brand new single inside the custom built recording studio.

The clip below has a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the campaign, and peep a handful of shots by photographer Sam Bisso after the jump.
