Mary Katrantzou‘s insanely gorgeous capsule collection for Topshop hit Australia’s lone Topshop flagship in Melbourne this morning and, as one would predict, people went ape shit over it. A queue had formed at the store’s entrance by the time doors opened at 10am, at which point a horde of rabid shoppers pounced upon the coveted (and extremely limited) Mary K collection.

A bystander told Pedestrian, “There was a frenzy of girls fighting over dresses. There was almost tears.” Now that’s passion!
Over 50 garments went in first five minutes with the Tunic Dress and Sleeveless Blouse selling out within two. Can you really blame shoppers for their enthusiasm?
If you want to get your paws on the Mary Katranzou for Topshop range you better get yourself to Topshop, stat. Of the dresses there are just THREE remaining.
Topshop also launched the NEWGEN t-shirt collection in store today, featuring some of Britain’s finest young designers including Christopher Kane, Erdem, Peter Pilotto and Mark Katrantzou whose lovely floral print design was the first to sell out.
Busy Topshop Australia celebrated ANOTHER launch today, for a series of different temporary pop-ups in store, showcasing the work of some of Melbourne’s leading creative types from the worlds of beauty,

Famous in Melbourne’s culinary circles, local fine food purveyors Ricketts Point is offering their high quality, artisan ice creams, frozen yoghurts, gelato and sorbets to Topshop customers, with a free dessert from their exclusive range of delicious bespoke flavours and signature shapes as a gift with purchase.

Melbourne stationery expert NoteMaker are bringing their understated style to a temporary store that will showcase the best of their passion for fine design, home and office essentials. Topshop customers have the opportunity to take home the Blog Melbourne Journal, an exclusive weekly planner.
MR LINCOLN (FLORIST): March 31st
Melbourne florist Mr Lincoln has won a huge fan base with their unique offering of eco-sound floral arrangements that make use of local blooms. Mr Lincoln’s stylish Fitzroy store will complete the series of pop-ups with his temporary flower stall offering customers a free bunch of flowers as a gift with purchase.
