Every year, beauty despos (like me) wait with baited breath for all the limited edition Christmas collections to drop. A colour or palette that can only be bought and owned while stocks last is the adult version of when you were 5 and Frosties released a box with a toy in it. Maybe you had enough Frosties in the house, but THESE Frosties had a special TOY in them.
MAC always comes through with the Xmas goods, and this year is no exception. Their Snowball collection now has official pics, and not only do we have some limited edition shades, we have this RIDICULOUS MARIAH CAREY LEVEL gold packaging that I need to replace all my normal MAC with, immediately.
Let’s talk about those lipstick shades, actually. First up there’s Warm Ice, a shimmery gold-nude. Then (my favourite) Holiday Crush, a pink-nude. I’m Glistening is a mauve, then the one that’s bound to sell out in no time – the extra sparkly Shimmer & Spice. That red is really giving off Lady Danger vibes, but it’s actually called Rouge En Snow. And lastly, the sultry ElleBelle is kind of a browner version of Diva.
There are two Face Powders in the collection – this one is called Here Comes Joy, and it’s a peachy hue that has me internally screaming. The other, Happy Go Dazzlingly, is a true gold.
There’s a bunch of shimmery eyeshadows too, ranging from the very wearable Starry Starry Nights (left), to the I’ll-wear-this-once-then-just-stare-at-it-lovingly Stylishly Merry (right).
Beyond these guys there are the usual palette and kit offerings from MAC, including a 12 piece mini lipstick kit that is bound to make MAC lovers froth at the mouth.
The whole range drops in Australia on the 30th October. Lord has this been a great month for my face/a terrible one for my credit card.
