London Artist Kesh Launches American Apparel Capsule Line


Graphic artist and Elle-lauded “indie icon” Kesh has merged with chain American Apparel on a range of monochromatic-printed basics.

With a background in fine art, Kesh’s first LA gallery show last year secured Kanye West and Cara Delevigne as fans, with her prints selling for nearly $6,000 apiece. So with accessibility apparently a goal, American Apparel’s unisex range featuring ostentatiously “look at me” eye prints is accessibly priced between $34 and $58 USD. On a surprising note, the collection campaign seems starkly devoid of the kind of T and A we’ve come to expect from the brand – as an attempt to respectfully position Kesh’s ‘art’ as tasteful or something? Yawn.
Not new to the main-playing chain collabs, The London artist has previously collaborated with Top Shop Man. The third guy in seems adequately excited, needing to behave like a duck to contain himself:
