Lisa Ho To Close Down Indefinitely With Huge Final Sale

Today it has been confirmed that beleaguered retailer and Australian fashion luminary Lisa Ho will be shutting down production indefinitely, after attempts to save the 30-year-old business proved unsuccessful. The news might be hard to believe for anyone who is neck-deep in a never ending weekend of peer weddings, since Lisa Ho seems to be the choice for every second Australian bride, but as we’ve witnessed with increasingly regularity it’s hard out there for an Aussie label with online shopping and the invading high street offers providing such stiff competition.

The company fell into voluntary administration in May with an estimated debt of $11?million. Despite rumours that several interested parties were considering saving the business through acquisition, the Lisa Ho Group released a statement confirming that despite considerable interest, a sale of the Lisa Ho Group business as a going concern has not been achieved.

Administrators for the business did note that discussions are continuing with a number of interested parties in relation to the purchase of intellectual property, stock and other assets of the Lisa Ho Group, which means the brand might still have a future in one form or another – so there’s a possible silver lining for Lisa Ho devotees to cling to.

In the meantime an immediate final sale is now underway until Sunday 30th June 2013, including all current season designs, classic evening and bridal dresses discounted to clear at the following locations:

Lisa Ho Strand Arcade, Sydney
Lisa Ho at David Jones, Elizabeth Street Sydney
Lisa Ho Chadstone, Melbourne
Lisa Ho at David Jones, Bourke Street Melbourne
Lisa Ho Wintergarden, Brisbane
