Australia’s Sweet<3 Lara Bingle’s latest venture in CV bolstering and silencing Haters who still find it necessary to ask of anyone who will listen, “Yeah but what does she actually do?“, a swimwear collection for Australian high street stalwart Cotton On, has made like a cheesecake baked in a hotel room and is now available for your fervid, guilt-free consumption.
Nearly a year in the making, the collection encompasses some thirteen looks rendered in – per Lara’s all-caps and ellipses-heavy Facebook announcement – “BLACK, WHITE, LEOPARD…. VIBRANT PRINTS AND CLASSIC COLOURS,” fashioned into “ULTRA-MINIMAL SHAPES – TIMELESS, WITH A HINT OF SUBTLE MODERNITY.” There is, insists Bingle, “A PARTICULAR FOCUS ON BOTH COMFORT AND CONFIDENCE.”
Taking more tangible design cues from a “LOVE OF NATURE EMERALD WATERS, IRIDESCENT PLAM [sic] TREES, SUMMER, CRASHING WAVES, A SOLID DAY AT THE BEACH [and] DUSK” – otherwise known as Your Instagram Feed – the collection ranges in price from a very reasonable $19.95 to $39.95, is available now online and is due to drop in stores from November 4th.
