Fusing together elements of religion, royalty and old world luxury, Ksubi’s 2013 Summer Eyewear collection is a moodier take on the ready-to-wear AD/BC collection. Taking existing shapes and rendering them in luxe metals and ornate acetates, popping some golden mirrored lenses in there, and adding some Baroque-style accents, a degree of excess shifts Ksubi’s classically ultramodern aesthetic into a realm of aristocratic functionality. Still cool as shit, just with more gold and a greater chance of looking like you come from money, I guess.
