Ksubi Spring/Summer 2009

Ksubi’s SS/09 menswear collection is a mishmash of washed out 90’s denim, Henrik Vibskov colour clashes, tailored suit jackets reminiscent of Kris Van Assche and shorts and leggings with astral prints. The kaleidoscope of influences means continuity between peieces is lacking but in typical Ksubi style it strangely works.

Whole looks might be hard to pull off unless you’re Andre 3000 – just look at the pattern mixing styling which exposes a glimpse of a lengthier layer underneath whether it be a checked shirttail or striped cardigan. It’s what I imagine the fashion forward hobos of Mars might wear, clashed, psychedelic and left of field with some sharper pieces for the Gentlemen. Unlike the Ksubi of yesteryear there’s something here for almost everyone.
