Kid Has Zero Time For The Hiccups, Belts The Aussie Anthem Out Anyway

Baseball is America’s passtime, and there’s no shame in saying Australia generally prefers its balls bowled rather than pitched. That doesn’t mean we can’t adopt any of the sentimental lessons the sport is prone to impart, though.
At last night’s game between Brisbane Bandits and Adelaide Bite, lil’ Ethan Hall took to the field to sing the Aussie anthem before catching the most poorly-timed case of hiccups in sporting history. Obviously, the little ledge knew how to handle it – there’s no crying in baseball, after all.

Adorable National Anthem

Last night 7-year-old Ethan battled through the hiccups to perform perhaps the greatest rendition of the Australian national anthem EVER SEEN. His reaction after the song is priceless.

But seriously, tho. Ethan had precisely zero time for anything that’d get in the way of belting that one out. Natch, he nabbed some serious applause and some praise from the commentary team, who called it “the best I’ve seen all year, and I don’t think anything will top it.”

Bandits toppled the Bite 3-2, in case you were wondering. No word on if Ethan is planning to top his already-stellar performance at their next meeting, or if he’s resting his pipes for his inevitable stint at the 2016 AFL Grand Final
