Kelly Slater dropped in on Australia to launch Outerknown, a sustainable new menswear line that’s getting at last stocked Down Under (in David Jones, The Iconic and Incu).
He was joined by other hot people and surfer / sporting types alike, including Jesinta Campbell, Torah Bright, Jodhi Meares, Nick Finn, Kit Willoe, Nadia Fairfax, and Kalani Miller.
The absolute best part about this – aside from a heaps stylish + sustainable brand coming to Australia – is Kelly’s explanation to enlist acclaimed menswear designer John Moore as Creative Director (no shade, he’s done a bang-up job).
“We’re surfers that grew up with surf brands, but we grew out of logos,” Kelly said, and ohhhhhh buddy. You and us both mate.
