Keith Richards for Louis Vuitton

‘Some journeys cannot be put into words. New York. 3am. Blues in C.’

So reads the tagline that accompanies the new Louis Vuitton advertisement featuring none other than Stones riff machine Keith Richards. A somewhat unconventional choice for the luxury giant in an industry where Kirsten Dunst for Miu Miu or at the most extreme Dakota Fanning for Marc Jacobs shows that youth runs first and foremost. While Keith certainly can’t be accused of being young (perhaps young at heart) this campaign does portray him as resigned and dare I say it, stoic.
