Karl Lagerfeld has turned his attention to making 18-minute short films.
Titled “Once Upon A Time…” the film depicts Coco Chanel’s foray into fashion, circa 1913, with lady of pursed cat butthole lips dignified and sophisticated graces, Keira Knightley, starring.
Intended to play out ‘naturally’, Lagerfeld reportedly gave the actors (models acting) their lines only minutes before shooting. Results are jarring and kind of awkward, which matters little when it looks pretty. By the hand of Karl, aesthetics reign supreme.
