Josh Goot Unveils S/S 2012 Collection

Maybe Josh Goot was a horticulturalist in a former life? Or a florist maybe?… Whatever the secret behind his keen botanical vision may be, the print-whisperer of Australian fashion has got blossoms on the brain.

After showcasing the rose as a recurring motif in Goot’s previous collection, for Spring/Summer 2012 he has splashed half the hot house across his clothes, with lilies, orchids, poppies and roses all employed in his vibrant bouquet. Goot offsets the abundance of florals with minimalist structure, masculine tailoring and sculptural sportswear with nods to Balenciaga, Jil Sander, and the upcoming princess of the print, Mary Katrantzou; and as comparisons go, those three are about as complimentary as it gets.

Another beautifully modern and highly desirable collection by the ever impressive Mr Goot.
