The steady and prolific rise of Sydney-born jewellery designer and sculptor Jordan Askill continues with his remarkable, unique aesthetic being recognized by this year’s Brit Fashion Awards who announced his nomination in the Emerging Talent – Accessories category this week.
The nomination is a real validation of Askill’s huge talent, and to receive recognition from a group as influential as the British Fashion Council is fantastic. While Jordy is not unfamiliar to high-profile accolades (he won a prestigious Ist Prize Grand Marnier Design Award for Fashion Excellence) this nomination is his most esteemed to date.
He joins fellow nominees Nasir Mazhar and Tabitha Simmons in a bid to clench the celebrated title when the British Fashion Awards ceremony takes place on 28 November.
Last year’s winner of the Emerging Talent – Accessories Award was shoe designer Nicholas Kirkwood to give you an idea of the level of talent we’re talking about.
We’ll keep you up to date when the winners are announced later this year. Good luck Jordy!
