Renowned fat-basher Karl Lagerfeld has reneged on comments he recently made with regard to the size of English singer Adele.
Karl made the controversial comment that Adele “is a little too fat, but she has a beautiful face and a divine voice.” in a recent interview with Metro. That’s the quintessential fat person conjunction! e.g. “…but she’s got a really pretty face”, “…but he’s got beautiful eyes.”
Adele’s millions of obsessed fans went the full troll on Karl, resulting in his subsequent backpedaling on the quote. He told the Metro: “I’d like to say to Adele that I am your biggest admirer. Sometimes when you take a sentence out of the article it changes the meaning of the thought… I lost over 30 kilos over 10 years ago and have kept it off. I know how it feels when the press is mean to you in regards to your appearance. Adele is a beautiful girl. She is the best. And I can’t wait for her next CD.”
Good job Karl. Now how about laying off the public weight comments for a while?
