Insight Spring 2011 Womens Lookbook

The past week or so Sydney has seen a pseudo-Summer which makes it very difficult to participate in life and very easy to get lost in an ocean of daydreams about the beach. Insight Spring 2011 paints a pretty picture of a barefoot babe wearing a daisy chain and makes us want the warmer weather even more. The ethereal imagery is convincing and it’s clear that this season Insight is determined to be more than just a t-shirt brand, bouncing off high fashion looks for its mainline. We ain’t complaining.

There’s a floaty and floral feminine feel, balanced by Insight’s signature streetwear style. Frayed shorts, light blazers, super soft vintage style tees and weathered denim sit alongside more unexpected bang-on-trend items like neon green knits and mesh that positively pops. The inclusion of plum into the palette is nom nom nom and ethnic embroidered trims (like on the boxy Stone Cold denim jacket) make lovely little touches.

To accompany the mainline, there’s also a separate denim collection, an essentials offering of breezy basics, a swimwear / resort offshoot as well as Pennies, a consumer-driven collection of printed tees. Winter go and piss off someone else already.
