Someone Call Britney & Kevin Because I Am Gia Are Bringing Back ’00s Trash-Glam

Honestly, we knew the 00’s were coming back into fashion big-time, but we kind of forgot exactly what the Charlie’s Angels 2.0, Britney-Spears-breakdown, Paris Hilton decade really looked like. In short, it was “wear whatever you want and expose as much skin as possible”. While we spent most of the 2010’s lamenting our sartorial choices, what’s old is new again and nostalgically cool as hell.

I Am Gia held their MBFWA show last night to a packed-out crowd, and they weren’t pulling any punches when it came to letting us know they’re firmly back on the 00’s train.

Absolutely not for the meek (although the brand never has been tbh, it’s very “this requires a selfie” vibes), some key returns were exposed thongs:

Or you could just go undercrackers-free if you’re game, in these babies:

Those teeny triangle bikini tops Gwen Stefani used to rep all the time:

Also remember those teeny “golf” skirts? They were like, absolutely not for golfing. Anyway they’re on their way back.

Also, in keeping with the general MBFWA trend of sheer-everything, there were plenty of see through tops you’d pretty much only be able to nip-flash in. Which, given Kendall Jenner’s trend-setting ways, is likely to be a thing this year anyway.

Guys-wise, it was all over-sized tees and baggy pants. Very K-Fed, but also extremely Berghain, you know? Also, those ball chain necklaces your dreamboat crush from when you were 15 repped.

And MESH SINGLETS.

Also, remember these types of designs? Basically what everyone had as a tramp stamp but on clothes? They also had EPIC womens glam-trackies with this emblazoned on the butt.

This model even looks like a hotter, less bloated K-Fed.

It’s actually the brands first foray into menswear and they clearly know what they’re doing when it comes to giving their market what it wants.

The collection isn’t available as yet, but hit up their site for existing threads – I for one need these pants on the immediate.
