How Holly Ryan Attracts All The Big Names With Her Jewellery Designs

Holly Ryan‘s minimalist and out-of-the-box jewellery is nice, different, unusual and we like it.

And look, so does everyone else. She started her biz in 2011, after graduating in 2010 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Design and learning silversmithing from her ‘rents. In the short time period since, Holly’s garnered a massive following for her minimalist designs, inspired by architecture, nature and fellow art types like Picasso and Eileen Gray.

Her jewellery is featured in glossies on the reg, has caught the attention of big name ~influencers~ and even has celeb fans like Bella Hadid, Lara Worthington and Phoebe Tonkin. So, how’d she get her ranges in front of so many eyes?

I’d never be able to get the jewellery label to where it is now, if it wasn’t for social media. Being in QLD and being on the Sunshine Coast, it isn’t really well known for “high fashion”. If I hadn’t been able to reach other areas of Australia or the world, I don’t think it would’ve grown as quickly,” she told PEDESTRIAN.TV.

Social media can’t polish the fugly, though – we know that. The quality of Holly Ryan pieces is well and truly *up there*, something that the designer prides herself on.

I hate fast fashion, and I hate fast jewellery too.”

I really, really strive to create a product that someone wants to keep forever, that they can pass on as an heirloom one day. I don’t want people to see my jewellery as a trend item because it’s not – it’s supposed be worn everyday, or kept forever, and taken care of.
