H&M Opening A Second Store In Melbourne, Perth Opening Date Revealed

For all you poor souls out there hopelessly stuck in the middle section of the Fashion Conscious/Hate the CBD Venn Diagram, this one goes out to you.

Following the bloody rousing success of the Bourke Street Mall store, fashion giant H&M have unveiled the location for their second Melbourne store. And, well… Look, cards well and truly on the table here. It’s a little out of left field.
Or right field, technically. They’ll be opening a store in Eastland.
The Ringwood shopping centre is undergoing a mammoth $665million redevelopment and expansion, that will increase the size of the shopping centre by around a third, adding an extra 48,000 square feet of space.
It’s in here that the Swedish clothing giant will stake their second claim on the Victorian retail market, with a new store that will open in stage one of the new centre, which is scheduled to be swung open later this year.
The first Melbourne store – also the first H&M in the country – opened inside Melbourne’s iconic GPO Building last April, attracting a record-setting 15,000 customers on its first trading day alone. In the weeks that followed, lines to enter the store reached up to two hours in length.
Meanwhile, the retail behemoth has unveiled the opening date for its first foray into Western Australia, revealing on its Facebook page that doors at the Lakeside Joondalup store will swing open on August 29th.
Eager beavers can get around all the vital details over on them innuhnets.
