
A charter plane carrying 9 crew and 72 passengers, including members of a Brazilian football team, has reportedly crashed in Colombia.
The plane was carrying the Chapecoense football team from Bolivia to Medellin International Airport and, according to air traffic communication, had reported experiencing electrical issues before undertaking the flight.

Local media is reporting that there are some survivors but they are having difficulty accessing the site of the crash.
Medellin’s mayor Federico Gutierrez told local radio that the incident is “a tragedy of huge proportions.” The football team was due to play in the finals of the Copa Sudamerica tomorrow.
