We’ve said it once and we’ll say it again, Gemma Ward will not be returning to the catwalks. She’s thrown in the towel for good and this time it’s from the horses mouth. And by horse we mean agent.
The lovely Miss Ward, who celebrated her 22nd birthday last week, has revealed via her agent that she does not intend to return to modeling. Ward has been given a few toughs blows of late after being ridiculed about a little weight gain.
Photos posted on bryanboy.com showing the Aussie model looking a far cry from her alien waifish self, which she was so popular for. So pretty much a normal healthy lady size.
Ward’s modelling agency in New York, Viviens, announced that the Australian had no immediate plans to return to the industry. ‘Gemma hasn’t committed to returning to modelling at any time soon’, a spokesman said, adding Ward had the agency’s full support.
Ward was up there with Australia’s best ever model export and landed herself huge campaigns for Prada, Louis Vuitton and every other major fashion house you could think of. Maybe now she’ll continue on her quest to be a respected model turned actor. Yeah because there is so many of those around.
