French Coppers Apparently Found DNA In Kim K’s Paris Robbery Hotel Room

Earlier this week, a seemingly major breakthrough happened in the Kim Kardashian-West robbery case in Paris: one of her diamond necklace was found outside the hotel where the hold-up occurred.
(ICYMI: Kim K was bound, gagged and held at gun point while five men dressed as policemen robbed her of a reported AUD $14 million worth of jewellery. You can read more about the story HEREHEREHERE & HERE.)
A clearly very nice and trustworthy passer-by found the necklace – which is worth just under AUD $44,000 – and handed it in.
However, French police believed that it may have been tossed on purpose, in order to make authorities believe they were fumbling, unprofessional crims that didn’t know what they were doing. But a police source told Us Weekly

“They wanted us to believe that they were amateurs, but all the real clues point to them being extremely sophisticated professionals.”
Now, another breakthrough has reportedly occurred: DNA
The Associated Foreign Press reports that police found DNA in the actual hotel room that Kim was attacked in, and investigators are currently analysing the samples that were found. No DNA was found on the necklace after it was returned to police.
French prosecutors have formally opened an investigation, and New York FBI agents may even question Kardashian and the members of her entourage who were in Paris at the time.
Interestingly enough, the original AFP article about this has now been removed, but still remains as a syndicated story on other news sites such as the Daily Mail and Channel 9
We’ll update you as soon as more information arises.
