First Look: Fashion’s Next Big Thing Shot By Thom Kerr

We are absolutely confident in the belief that Anna Langdon is the future of Australian fashion. And we’re not the first to say it. Her technical wizardry and joyful expression of kitsch have had the fashion industry buzzing about the Sydney based designer for the last 12 months. Anna describes her aesthetic as “Experimental and unusual, glamorous and gaudy, tripped out but well cut, I aim to challenge the accepted parameters of fashionable-beauty through my work.”

Her graduate collection entitled ‘Kitschfolk und Kindheit’ is one of the stand outs from an remarkably talented year of fashion graduates. All the fabrics and trims used in the collection were sourced within Australia and the fabulous headpieces you see in the shots below were handmade by Anna’s mother who is a milliner.

Below you can cast your eyes over the full collection, shot by brilliant Brisbane raised snapper, Thom Kerr, who has also contributed to some of the fabulous shoots from the Miss Shop Blogger Project. Enjoy your first taste of these shots. You’re looking at the future, y’all.
