Like a gift from the heavens in the middle of winter, Rihanna and her Fenty Beauty line have released a whole sister line of the much-loved Pro Filt’r foundation for those of us who have to wrangle dry skin.

Dropping into our hot lil’ hands from August 15, the Pro Filt’r Hydrating Longwear Foundation is a long-wear, lightweight foundation with full coverage – much like the OG – but its got the added bonus of keeping the skin underneath nice and moisturised.
As someone who has previously endured a full-face flake (it was not a good time) and tends to turn into a bit of a prune as soon as the weather turns south, a hydrating foundation is like finding the holy grail of makeup.
The new range comes in the full 50 shades, and Queen Riri says that the hydrating range aims to help all skin types feel included in the Fenty Beauty fam.
“I wanted to take Pro Filt’r beyond skin tone to serve all skin types,” she said.
“Nothing is more important to me than making sure that everyone feels included.”
A Pro Filt’r Hydrating Primer is coming through too and honestly, find me a better duo when it comes to looking schmick and dewy when it’s bullshit cold outside.
I’m crossing all my fingers and toes that this means I won’t catch myself in the mirror at the end of the day with my face looking like its covered in teeny tiny tectonic plates of separated, flaked makeup. Please, Rihanna, you’re my only hope.
It’s tried and tested as well, considering Rihanna has legit been trialling out the new Fenty Beauty foundation for the last year, sneakily wearing it for a bunch of magazine cover shoots, including Vogue Australia.
