Everyone’s Confused By The Early 90s Aesthetic Of Melania’s Official Portrait

Look what we have here: the official portrait of First Lady Melania Trump, as released by the White House.

It’s like they *want* folks to arch up, what with the placement of her 25-carat rock and a second ring from her Melania™ Timepieces & Jewelry collection, which is currently being flogged on shopping network QVC.

There are plenty of angry tweets about how her many hungry people her engagement ring could feed but what most people want to know is what, exactly, was used to filter the photo, to evoke such a strong 1980s aesthetic: Vaseline, smeared on the camera lens? A heavy-handed experiment with FaceTune?

Us? We just want to know the answer to this.
