J.Crew is one of the most iconic US fashion brands of all time, and their sister brand Madewell is renowned for doing effortless modern basics in a bit of a more fashion-forward vibe. So the news both brands are joining the stables at David Jones is HUGE.

The announcement came today via a press release, which explains that 11 David Jones stores will stock the brands in a ‘shop within shop’ form, using dedicated Madewell/J.Crew assistants.
Both brands will be on sale as of August this year, but there’s no word as to whether the full collections will drop, or a selection. There’s also the issue of season – given we’re in the opposite temp vibe to the northern hemisphere, this may be an issue – but it’s one big names like Zara and Topshop managed to sort out, so I’m predicting these guys have got it under control.

While both brands ship to Australia currently, this will be the first department store in Australia that houses their gear – meaning wider accessibility for trying on threads before committing to buy.
