Cybele Malinowski’s Model Maison Is Your New Favourite Interiors Blog

“So by now you might see a certain theme developing here,” Cybele Malinowski once told us of her work. “Beautiful girls. Strong and yet vulnerable.”

The super talented Sydney photographer’s fascination with the female form continues in her latest project, Model Maison, an interiors and portraiture blog dedicated to sun dappled interiors and the lithe limbed individuals who inhabit them. Shot in various locations around the world – Sydney, Los Angeles, London and Shanghai – Malinowski’s editorial-style visual compendium of models-at-home-and-about-town subverts the interiors blog conventions of Todd Selby and the like by focusing on the quality of image-making as much as her ability to capture a sense of someone’s living space.

The images here are private, warm, evocatively rendered and almost certainly editorial worthy, but never do they come across as fake, contrived or calculated. An unfiltered sense of her subjects’ lives, lifestyle and personalities shine though regardless. Through her eyes, they are merely heightened. In that respect, she straddles the line between the artist and the documentarian magnificently.

Subjects include a variety of local and international models but her gorgeous NSFW shoot with Sydney based model Louise van de Vorstpublished earlier today exclusively over at Frockwriter, just might be the pick of the lot.
