Chris Gayle Is Either Trolling Us All Or Legit Named His Daughter ‘Blush’

Wowowowowowowowowowowowowowowowowowowow.
West Indian cricketer Chris Gayle is either trolling the world, or has legitimately named his newborn daughter ‘Blush’, in a not-at-all subtle reference to the shitstorm that erupted after he hit on respected sports reporter Mel McLaughlin during a live TV interview at the Big Bash League game in Hobart.
Gayle posted the announcement of his first child with partner Tasha to Instagram a short time ago, and dropped the name bombshell at the same time.
“We would like to welcome the arrival of our beautiful daughter ‘Blush’ to this world 2 hours ago,” he captioned a photo of the pair.
On one hand, it seems weird that you’d joke about your daughter’s birth.
On the other, it’s Chris Gayle.
Gayle was fined $10K for the sideline comment, made as Mel interviewed him post-innings for the Melbourne Renegades against the Hobart Hurricanes

“I wanted to come and have an interview with you as well,” he said. “That’s the reason why I’m here, just to see your eyes for the first time. It’s nice so …

“Hopefully we can win this game and have a drink after. Don’t blush baby.”

He later apologised “if she felt that way” i.e. grossly offended.
If true, it’ll be suuuuuuuuuuuper interesting for his daughter to explain how she got her name in 10 years’ time.
